GABF 2012 Awards
The Great American Beer Festival awards have been doled out.
There were some surprises to me for a few of the brewers but these beers are good.

Old Peculier
Old Peculier – the Legend comes from Theakston, home of Legendary Ales, in Masham, Ripon, Yorkshire and they’re the proud sponsors of the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival I Harrogate. Each bottle even carries a “10 word crime novel”. A pleasant drop indeed, a subtly fruity taste to it, all that full-bodied English goodness, though at 5.6% in a half-litre bottle it’s not one to hook into if you plan to drive anywhere straight away. And of course, being both a lover of good beer and an aspiring crime novelist (first draft completed and another project on the go) I couldn't resist! Old Peculier

Texas Brewer Sues TABC

The title of the link tells it all. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is an antiquated agency that needs to GO.
Two legislative sessions didn't work and despite a growing political consumer base Jester King decides to be the
catalyst and sue on constitutional grounds. It's bound to go a few court levels. Should be interesting.
